Driven, young, restless and focused begins to describe Kawere Fahad 21 years.  Rest In Peace! Wakiso District, in the Central Region of Uganda is very important to Uganda as DC is to USA or Buckingham is to UK. This area has the biggest number of schools per land size, the oldest Basilica in Africa, real estate hub and is the dormitory District for many urbanites in Uganda.  It is in this area that one finds such suburbs like Kayunga and Nansana. These suburbs never go to sleep!   One would expect that this metropolitan profile puts it at a place where murder cases are investigated and deterred by police and communities. Kampala, Uganda: We Remember Ivan, 27!

One day, in 2009 a group of friends talked about forming an entertaining chorus or music group. They threw around ideas but we left things to go on a burner as it were. Other issues needed to be dealt with. 12 people had HIV and needed care in form of transport and nutrition support. 24 had housing issues and 170 needed to be part of a social support network in which they could express their needs.  Among the members with whom we were discussing was Eric Lubega Ngobi who also goes by the name Ivan. Fast forward, the year is 2014, a team has just arrived in Kenya and is going through a locational cultural shock. No more familiar places like it was in Uganda! From that time on, it was new culture, new way of doing things, new languages, not many familiar faces. Even the Kenyans who studied in Uganda were distant.
