Effective quality HIV care is possible when resources and interventions are made available to address vulnerability and barriers to risk-reduction. 

There is need to provide information, education and communication to inform best action against vulnerability and risk-reduction. 

Consistent treatment can control HIV and enable people to live a long and healthy life. This is reinforced by adherence to ARVs. 

 Testing is the only way to know for sure if you have the virus.

 Will there ever be a cure for HIV?
Researchers and scientists believe that we can find a cure for HIV. We know a lot about HIV, as much as certain cancers. Scientists are researching two types of cure: a functional cure and a sterilizing cure (there is no 'natural cure' or 'herbal cure') for HIV. (There will never be an AIDS cure because AIDS is a defining set of symptoms rather than a virus, like HIV.)

In the wake of years of budget and staffing cuts and doing more with less when it comes to serving our teens, over 100 members of our community, from teachers to Judges, treatment professionals to volunteer mentors, made the time in their already busy schedules to come together to: Learn (from each other), collaborate, build cohesiveness amongst our educational, health, juvenile justice, DCFS, treatment, and youth placement programs, be inspired, and receive a call to action.
